Manufacturing Manager Overview:
At Progressive Metals, we are expanding our team and looking for a dedicated Manufacturing Manager to oversee our cutting-edge coil processing operations in Eaton, Ohio.
This role focuses on managing two key lines from Red Bud Industries:
a light gauge Cut-to-Length/Multi-Blanking Line and a light-gauge Slitting Line.
The Manufacturing Manager will be instrumental in optimizing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities Direct the daily operations of the light gauge CTL/Multi-Blanking and Slitting lines, ensuring they run efficiently and meet production targets.
Oversee quality control processes to ensure products meet our high standards and customer specifications.
Continuously assess production processes to identify and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase output.
Lead, motivate and develop the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of teamwork, high performance, and continuous learning.
Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to schedule routine maintenance and address any equipment issues promptly, minimizing downtime.
Ensure all manufacturing operations comply with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
Work closely with supply chain and sales departments to align production schedules with customer orders and inventory sales.
Manage the budget for manufacturing operations, including labor, materials, and equipment maintenance costs.
Maintain strong relationships with Red Bud Industries and other suppliers, ensuring support and service as needed for operational excellence.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing management role, ideally with experience overseeing Red Bud Industries equipment or similar.
Proven ability to lead and manage a production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of quickly learning new software.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and quality control processes.
Must be able to lead a team effectively and communicate well with both team members and external partners.
Formal education is a plus but not required.
Practical experience and a strong work ethic are highly regarded.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Knowledge of safety standards and experience in enforcing compliance in a manufacturing setting.
