- become familiar with lens types, lens coatings, EHR program ordering, insurance coverages.
-Potential help in Pre-testing of patients which involves the use of various computerized instruments, use of electronic medical records and preparation for doctor.
-Dispensing of prescription eyewear -Occasional front desk reception work and vacation coverage Previous optometric/opthalmic experience (pre-testing technician, certified paraoptometric, certified ophthalmic assistant, licensed optician) not required but beneficial.
